Uhde Shedden is a multi-discipline engineering and project delivery contractor, serving the upstream oil and gas, oil refining and other process industries of Australia and the region. Formed in 1979 the Company became a subsidiary of the major German process engineering contractor Uhde GmbH in 1996. On 1st January 2005 Uhde Shedden took over the former Uhde affiliate office in Thailand.
A 50% share in the company was held by Clough Limited of Perth from 1st October 2002 until 31st December 2007, at which time this share was re-purchased by Uhde GmbH.
Uhde Shedden Australia employs over 400 personnel, covering engineering, project management, project controls, procurement, finance and accounting, administration, marketing, and general management in its head office in West Melbourne and branch offices in Brisbane and Perth.
