Project: Lactic Acid Plant

Lactic Acid is used extensively by the food industry as a flavour agent, preservative and for acidity adjustment in foods. Sustained market growth led to this expansion project. With an undiluted lactic acid capacity of 100,000 tons and 15,000 tons of sodium lactate it is the largest plan in the world and provides approximately 25% of current world capacity.

Shedden Uhde were engaged to provide EPCM services – specifically piping, local mechanical, electrical engineering, local procurement and construction management support.
