Established more than 75 years ago in Dortmund, Germany, Uhde has grown to be one of the world’s leading contractors for the delivery of turnkey chemical and other industrial plants. The worldwide network is active in a wide variety of process industry sectors.

The 1999 merger of Thyssen and Krupp created the fifth largest company in Germany. ThyssenKrupp is a highly diversified group with five main divisions covering steel production, automotive components, industrial products, materials & services and plant construction. The company employs some 193,000 people internationally and has an annual turnover of Euro 37 Billion. ThyssenKrupp AG is listed on the German stock exchanges.
Within ThyssenKrupp Technologies, the Plant Construction sector represents the companies active in the design and construction of process plant and equipment. Of the companies in this sector, three are actively established in Australia:

Shedden Uhde cooperates closely with its sister companies in Australia, in particular for the delivery of projects in the mining, minerals processing, lime and cement industries.
