Shedden Uhde awarded Gasifier BED stage of Ningxia Coal based Propylene Project

Shenhua Ningxia Coal Group Company Limited (SNCG) is developing its Coal Based Heavy Chemical Industry at Ningdong Energy & Heavy Chemical Base, Yinchuan in Ningxia Autonomous Region, Peoples Republic of China (PRC). The development is in phases, of which the Ningxia Coal based Propylene Project (NCPP) is Phase 3. This project is a grass-roots project, with the aim of producing 500,000 ton per annum of polypropylene by means of Coal Gasification, CO Shift, Rectisol, Methanol Synthesis, MTP and Polypropylene.
Within the Coal Gasification area, Shedden Uhde (Australia) Pty Ltd (SUAPL) have been initially awarded the scope for developing the Basic Engineering Design (BED) Package from the Process Design Package (PDP) prepared by Siemens Fuel Gas Technology (SFGT), which covers the Gasification Unit (including Black Water Treatment unit, Utilities & Distribution). SUAPL have partnered with China Huanqiu Contracting & Engineering Corporation (HQCEC) to execute this BED scope which will be completed in both Melbourne and Beijing.
